Image optimisation
For you if your website loads slowly and the pictures are to blame.
I clean up your website's pictures: fewer, smaller and properly described, so it loads faster. On static websites just as on WordPress.
What I do
Pictures are usually the heaviest part of a page.
A photo straight from the camera often weighs more than the whole rest of the page. I bring every picture into a modern format and into the sizes a screen really needs, and give it a description that screen readers and search engines read.
- Modern formats like WebP instead of heavy JPG and PNG
- Every picture in the sizes the screen needs
- A description for every picture, in every language
- Load only the pictures the page really shows
